At the Grand Geneva Golf Academy, our philosophy is centered around fostering a passion for the game of golf while providing players of all skill levels with a comprehensive and personalized learning experience. We believe golf is more than a sport; it is a journey of continuous growth, connection, and enjoyment.
Robert was born in Illinois and started playing golf at age 12. He fell in love with the game by playing in the IJGA Junior Golf Events all over the state of Illinois and also through High School Golf Tournaments. A graduate of The University of South Carolina, he moved to southern California where he continued to develop a career in the golf industry. He was elected to the PGA membership in 2017. He has a passion for coaching, golf wellness and youth golf development. Robert is TPI Certified and also TPI Junior Certified. He looks forward to growing the golf program at Grand Geneva and enjoying golf around the state of Wisconsin.
Ryan's passion for the game of golf began at an early age and has progressed throughout his life. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where he studied Marketing and Professional Golf Management. Throughout his golf career, Ryan has managed private and resort facilities all across the United States. Mentoring younger golf professionals and growing the game through instruction is what he enjoys most about being a golf professional. Outside of his profession, he and his wife Blair, and their daughter Ada enjoy the small-town life here in Lake Geneva. Ryan's favorite course at Grand Geneva is The Brute.
Drew is a passionate and experienced golf instructor dedicated to helping players of all skills levels improve their game and enjoy the sport to its fullest. A graduate of University of Wisconsin- Stout, Drew has built a career at some of the most renowned golf destinations, including The Quarry at La Quinta, Sand Valley and Geneva National. With a supportive and motivating approach, Drew Strives to help golfers of all levels refine their skills, gain confidence, and fully enjoy the game.
Bennett grew up near Galena, IL and started in playing and working in golf at Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa. He graduated from Southwest Technical College with a degree in Golf Course Management and advanced his career at Sand Valley Golf Resort and The Oaks Club (Sarasota, FL). He prides himself on bringing high energy and enthusiasm to every golf lesson, golf clinic and to the course every day. Bennett has a passion for helping all golfers find their love for the game and grow as a golfer.
Sterling has been a golf instructor for over 30 years. He has been Head Golf Professional at Stony Creek Golf Club (Oak Lawn, IL), Country Club Estates Golf Club (Fontana, WI) and Bristol Oaks Golf Club (Bristol, WI). He was also a full-time golf instructor at South Pines Golf Center (Fontana, WI). Throughout his career, he has taught golf clinics for children and adults for all facets of the game, as well as private instruction. His goal has always been to help clients develop a swing for a lifetime. He has been experienced in club fittings for many years and continues to participate in club-fitting seminars to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques. Since starting at Grand Geneva in 2014, he has earned awards for People Pleaser of the Month for his commitment to making Grand Geneva a positive experience for all.
