Before the Drive

  • Download the Tesla App
  • Sign in using the email address and password used to schedule the drive
  • Upload Driver’s License
  • Verify Identity
    • Take and upload photos of the front and back of the driver’s license
    • Follow the instructions to take photos of both sides of the face for verification
    • After completing this step, guests will need to accept the Self-Serve Demo Drive Agreement
  • Locate the Vehicle
    • Once verified, guests will see a Locate Vehicle button in the app, tap the button at the time of the drive to find the Tesla
  • Gain Access to the Vehicle
    • Guests must ensure they are within the perimeter shown on the screen (the circle surrounding the vehicle), tap Start Demo Drive and then Confirm to unlock the car.
  • Learn About the Vehicle
    • Before heading out, guests can use the Learn section in the Tesla app to familiarize themselves with key vehicle features
    • Watch helpful videos about the car’s functions, like customizing seat positions, mirrors, and more
    • Additional educational videos are available on the vehicle’s touchscreen for further exploration
