Find Autumn Inspiration in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

5 things you have to do this fall

Summer temperatures may still stick around the Midwest for a few more weeks, but Fall officially starts on the autumn equinox September 23. This season brings cooler weather and colorful foliage, a winning combination for your Lake Geneva getaway. Keep an eye on the Wisconsin Fall Color Report for optimal leaf-looking opportunities.

Bring your favorite flannel and come explore the abundance of Fall activities Lake Geneva has to offer. We’ve also got a list of the top five things to do at Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva this season.

  1. 1. Feel the wind in your hair as you zip around the rustic roads of southeast Wisconsin on a scooter. Rent one for a few hours or take a guided tour around the area with Lake Geneva Scooter Tours and Rentals at Grand Geneva. If you can ride a bike, you can drive a scooter. You only need a valid driver’s license and some quick on-site instruction before you’re on your way.
  2.
  3. 2. Snap a selfie on our pumpkin throne. Take a seat in Grand Geneva’s giant pumpkin display outside the Main Lodge. This photo-worthy hot spot is a seasonal tradition for resort guests and community members. With 1,300-acres of fall fun, you’ll want to stay longer and save up to 30% off with this special package.
  4.
  5. 3. Love fall golf? Play as many rounds at Grand Geneva as you want this fall with the special membership offer Fall is on Us. Golf for free the rest of this season when you purchase a membership for next year before October 31. The fairways are in top shape and the courses look even more beautiful in their fall colors.
  6.
  7. 4. Family-friendly road trips love the suite life at Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark. Don’t hang up your bathing suits yet! This indoor waterpark is always 86 degrees and there are exciting fall packages that offer deals with local apple orchards, haunted hayrides and more.
  8. 5. Fall back in love with a romantic date night (or getaway) at Grand Geneva. Fall Wine Dinners the first weekends of September and October showcase the best of the culinary tradition at the resort. Make a night of it with the Grand Romance package and enjoy spa services in addition to a world-class dinner.

And if you need another reason to visit this fall, Breast Cancer Awareness blankets the resort in pink during October. Grand Geneva turns our water fountains pink and donates $25 from every room package to the local Aurora Health Care Foundation – Breast Cancer Fund. Roughly 1/3 of the women in Wisconsin newly diagnosed with breast cancer chose Aurora Cancer Center for their care. We're also building awareness with pink flags and cups displayed on The Brute and The Highlands golf courses. Buy a set of pink balls at the Golf Pro Shop or a pink Cipriani cocktail in Ristorante Brissago and we’ll donate a portion of those proceeds, too!
