Welcome Grand Geneva Guest

On behalf of our entire team, welcome to Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. We are extremely honored you chose to stay with us today and hope we can provide you with exceptional service and a memorable experience.

The safety, security and health of our guests and associates is the utmost importance, and one of our top priorities. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have developed the Grand Geneva CleanCare Pledge, which is our enhanced Health & Safety Plan for our associates and guests so that we can continue to deliver the four-diamond service Grand Geneva is known for. I’ve included a few highlights for your reference.

All associates have completed hygiene and cleanliness training and are health screened on a daily basis. Our team is trained to avoid close contact and practice social distancing. You will see multiple hand sanitizing stations throughout the hotel and notice our team wearing masks and other appropriate personal protection equipment. We have taken additional measures to ensure all public areas and high touch points are sanitized frequently. You will also find additional signage encouraging social distancing throughout the public areas.

Our housekeeping team will not enter your room during your stay. Your guestroom has been deep cleaned and sanitized using the highest industry standards and CDC-recommended disinfecting protocols. After being inspected, your room will be sealed, so that you can rest assured that no one entered your room after it was cleaned and sanitized.  Should you need additional linens or amenities, our staff will deliver newly sanitized items outside your door when requested. For housekeeping service please dial 0 or text 262.295.7200.

In addition, many adjustments are being made in accordance with current food safety recommendations. Please review the weekly resort schedule for current offerings and hours of operation.

In accordance with the State of Wisconsin, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and industry recommendations, a mask or face covering for guests ages 2 and older is required when indoors or in an enclosed space and other people are present in the same room or space, including but not limited to outdoor bars, outdoor restaurants, and ride-share vehicles. Face coverings are strongly recommended in all other settings, including outdoors when it is not possible to maintain physical distancing. Masks or face coverings are not required: outdoors; while eating or drinking at a restaurant/bar; or while swimming. If you need a mask, please request one at the Front Desk.

Our indoor pool is open daily.

emergency planning

IN CASE OF A FIRE
  1. 1. Remain calm.
  2. 2. Locate exit. Feel door. If cool to touch, exit your room immediately and close the door behind you.
  3. 3. Activate the nearest red fire alarm and pull station located on either end of the corridor.
  4. 4. Call extension 3650 (Grand Geneva Public Safety) or 262.245.7699 and let emergency personnel know where you are.
  5. 5. Do not return to your room.
  6.

IF YOU HEAR AN ALARM
  1. 1. Prepare to exit your room. Take your key card with you.
  2. 2. Feel the door temperature and observe the bottom of the door for smoke. If the door is hot, do not open it. If the door is cool, open it slowly but be prepared to shut it quickly.
  3. 3. If the corridor is free of smoke, close your door behind you and walk to the nearest exit. Do not use the elevator. Do not re-enter the building until told it is safe to do so.
  4. 4. If smoke is visible in the corridor, remain in your room.
  5. 5. If smoke is entering your room:
  • Place wet towels or sheets around the door to prevent smoke from entering your room.
  • Call Grand Geneva Public Safety at extension 3650 or 262.245.7699 and report your room number.
  • If smoke is entering your room, open the window to obtain fresh air. Hang a towel from the window to identify your location for emergency personnel.

KNOW YOUR EXIT ROUTES

Upon arrival to your room, spend a minute reviewing the exit map at the back of your door. Walk down the corridor and locate your most direct fire exit. Familiarize yourself with other nearby exits. Additionally, make mental notes of the locations of fire alarm pull stations and corridor house phones.

KNOW YOUR ROOM

Should you be unable to leave your room due to smoke or flames, the room can afford protection until help arrives.

CONFERENCE ROOM

If attending a conference, familiarize yourself with the meeting room. Check all emergency exits and decide upon your closest route of escape. If you notice any hazards, inform your conference leader, who can have the problem handled by our trained staff. If you are in charge of a conference, take a few minutes to inform all persons attending of the emergency exits available. Grand Geneva offers a state-of-the-art life safety system. However, should a fire break out, please be prepared.

TRAVELER SAFETY TIPS
  1. 1. Do not answer the door without first verifying who it is. If a person claims to be an employee, ask who they are and call the extension 3650 (Public Safety Department) or 262.245.7699 for verification. If you think someone is following you, go directly to the front desk for assistance.
  2. 2. When returning to the hotel late in the evening, use the main entrance of the hotel. Be observant and look around before entering parking lots.
  3. 3. Do not needlessly display room key cards in public or leave them on the restaurant tables, at the swimming pool or other places where they can be easily stolen.
  4. 4. Don't mention your room number out loud, especially if traveling alone.
  5. 5. Do not draw attention to yourself by displaying large amounts of cash or expensive jewelry.
  6. 6. Do not invite strangers into your room.
  7. 7. Place all valuables in room safe.
  8. 8. Do not leave valuables in your room unsecured or in your vehicle.
  9. 9. Check to see that any windows and any connecting rooms doors are locked.
  10. 10. If you see any suspicious activity, please report it to the Public Safety Department at extension 3650 or 262.245.7699.
