Kristen H Reynolds, MD

Dr. Kristen Reynolds is the founder, owner and medical director of Golden Rey Integrative Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is the first physician in Wisconsin to be triple-trained in family medicine, integrative medicine and functional medicine.

Inspired by the challenging health journeys of her children, patients, friends and family, Dr. Reynolds stepped outside the box of mainstream medicine and utilized her 25 years of experience to create a truly innovative center that offers healing therapies and seeks to find root cause answers to complex health conditions.

Dr. Reynolds’s areas of interest include persistent Lyme disease, mold (biotoxin) illness, nutrition, gluten sensitivity, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), gut health, acute and post-COVID-19 illness (“Long Haul” COVID), thyroid health, mental health and chronic complex conditions.  She and her team also enjoy working with healthy people to keep them healthy and athletes to optimize sports performance and recovery. In addition to comprehensive consultations by Dr. Reynolds and her team, Golden Rey offers scientifically proven energy medicine services, many of which are available to retreat attendees.

Dr. Reynolds completed medical school at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1999 and trained as a family physician at Aurora Family Medicine Residency in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she served as a faculty member for 20 years.  She is fellowship trained in integrative medicine through The Weil Center for Integrative Medicine (University of Arizona) and is dual-board certified in both family and integrative medicine.

Dr. Reynolds resides in Shorewood (Milwaukee), Wisconsin with her husband and 17-year-old twin daughters.  She enjoys healthful cooking, exercise, yoga, travel and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Thor Holm

Thor Holm began his career in Wellness in 1986 after attending the University of Wisconsin La Crosse as an Adult Fitness Major. Thor managed the Workout Fitness Center and was both a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor there for three years.  Thor’s first Spa Management job was at Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa in 1989 and has been working in Spa and Hospitality management ever since as either Spa Director or General Manager at resorts and spas like The Don Cesar Beach Resort and Spa, Hammock Beach Resort, Amelia Island Plantation, Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and the iconic Osmosis Day Spa in Freestone California.

During his career Thor has served on several Industry Association Board of Directors like the International Spa Association, North Florida Hospitality and Lodging Association, Flagler County Tourism Development Council, Advisory Board for the school of Resort Hospitality Management at Florida Gulf Coast University and is currently Immediate Past President of GSN Planet.

Thor’s outlook on the future of Resort Wellness is influenced by his own experiences. “As time goes on the lines between established traditions and modern approaches to wellness are disappearing. Indigenous cultures have utilized the restorative qualities of water for as long as man has roamed the earth. Cold water therapies like a Cold Plunge combined with Mineral Pools of varied temperatures provide an environment for people to experience ways to combat stress, inflammation, muscle soreness and joint pain just by immersing themselves.”

Thor who is originally from Waukesha, WI, grew up in a family of 11 children. Thor has a son and daughter who both reside in Florida. Thor enjoys working out, golf, hiking, cooking, wine tasting and Hot Springs.
