Tennis Instructors
Grand Geneva’s tennis program is led by Head Tennis Professional, Marty Badt. Marty attended Ferris State University in Michigan and graduated from their PTM (Professional Tennis Management) Program where he received his USPTA certification. He also is the varsity head coach of the Boy’s and Girl’s Tennis teams at Badger High School here in Lake Geneva. Marty’s professional accomplishments include coaching individuals for Wisconsin and Illinois state tennis tournaments, certified coach for Special Olympics for the state of Wisconsin and coaching children’s programs. He is able to work with all ages and ability levels.
Also on staff is David Sturdyvin who comes with 25 years of teaching tennis. He has been with Grand Geneva for 10 years. David is a Midwest Rank Player in the 45’s. He was voted Coach of the Year at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and also has been a men’s and women’s coach for 8 years.
